Terms of Use
Last updated: September 1, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to prostarapplianceservice.com and your use of the appliance repair services provided by Prostar Appliance Service (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this site or booking service with us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services we provide
We provide in-home diagnosis and repair of household appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, ranges, ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, washers, dryers, ice makers, wine coolers, beverage centers and built-in coffee systems. Service is available across our defined Orange County service area and is subject to technician availability, parts availability and safe access to the appliance at your property.
2. Appointments and arrival windows
We schedule service in two-hour arrival windows. Traffic conditions, earlier jobs that run longer than anticipated and other operational factors can occasionally affect timing. We will notify you if your window changes. An adult aged 18 or over must be present at the property for the entire duration of the visit, with safe and unobstructed access to the appliance.
3. Diagnostic fee and quotes
A diagnostic fee is charged on each service visit and is disclosed to you when you book. If you approve the recommended repair, the diagnostic fee is credited in full toward the total cost of that repair. If you decline the repair, the diagnostic fee is payable and covers the technician’s time, travel and assessment — it is not refundable in that case.
All repair quotes are flat-rate and given to you after diagnosis. If additional problems are found once work begins, we stop and seek your approval before continuing.
4. Payment
Full payment is due on completion of the repair unless otherwise agreed in writing before the visit begins. We accept the payment methods indicated at the time of booking. Overdue balances may be subject to collection costs as permitted under California law.
5. Warranty
We warrant our labor and the parts we install for twelve (12) months from the date the repair is completed — backed by our satisfaction guarantee and exceeding the standard 30-day industry practice. Where a manufacturer’s parts warranty runs longer, that warranty applies concurrently. The warranty covers the specific repair performed and the specific part installed. It does not cover:
- New or unrelated problems that develop after our visit.
- Damage caused by misuse, power surges, flooding, pests, hard water, improper installation by a third party, or continued use of an appliance we advised you not to use.
- Appliances repaired or altered by another party after our visit.
- Cosmetic wear, or consumable items — filters, bulbs, belts, hoses and door gaskets consumed in normal use.
To make a warranty claim, see our Refund, Return and Cancellation Policy.
6. Appliance condition and right to decline service
Appliances are repaired as found. We reserve the right to decline service on a unit that is unsafe, has been improperly repaired previously, has water or pest damage, or uses parts no longer manufactured. Where an appliance is not economically or safely repairable, we will advise you and charge only the diagnostic fee.
Moving built-in appliances carries inherent risk to flooring, cabinetry and utility connections. We exercise reasonable care, but we cannot accept liability for pre-existing structural weaknesses in flooring, cabinetry, plumbing or electrical connections that fail when an appliance is moved or reinstalled.
7. Access and site conditions
You are responsible for providing clear, safe access to the appliance and for disclosing any known hazards. In multi-unit buildings — including high-rises and gated communities — you are responsible for arranging building access, freight elevator reservations and any certificate of insurance the building management requires, prior to the scheduled appointment. We reserve the right to charge the diagnostic fee and leave if access cannot be obtained or if the property presents a safety risk to our technician.
8. Website content
Content on this site is for general information only. It does not constitute a guarantee that any specific appliance can be repaired or at any particular price. Price ranges shown are typical examples, not quotes. Do not attempt the repairs described on this site yourself — gas lines and high-voltage components are hazardous and subject to licensing requirements under California law.
9. Brand and manufacturer references
Manufacturer names, brand names, logos and model designations referenced on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only. Prostar Appliance Service is an independent repair company and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or authorized by any appliance manufacturer, unless expressly stated.
10. Intellectual property
The text, images, layout and code of this website are owned by Prostar Appliance Service and may not be reproduced, distributed or published without our written permission.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of any service or your use of this website is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including spoiled food, lost income, or property damage not directly caused by our own negligence.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms or in connection with our services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you schedule service applies to your appointment. Continued use of this site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
